U2723QE, Mac Studio, sleep mode issues
I have a number of Dell U2723QE monitors that intermittently go to sleep when I walk away. I have tried all Dell diagnostics from their customer support team and online forums.
- Mac Studio set to never sleep (was always like this anyway as I have background processes running)
- Fast Sleep disabled
- Auto input disabled
- Tried every combination of MST / MMS / Prioritization
- Newer monitors don't have 'Deep Sleep' option in firmware to disable.
Happening multiple times a day
When monitors go to sleep, can't be woken without unplugging power (plugging in windows machine, another Mac, another input source - HDMI or DP etc... all don't work.
Not always same monitor although the USB-C monitors seem to happen more frequently (1x HDMI and 3x USB-C). All using factory cables.

Willjoe - thanks for the response but it looks like you offering a solution for Windows 10 but I am using a an Apple Mac. There are no such settings on either the monitor, nor the Mac OS and I have already worked through available trouble shooting problems with Dell Support who are sending me a new monitor to test. I am hesitant this will work as I am having the same issue on four identical U2723QE monitors (but not all at the same time).

To fix this problem, open Settings > System. Then, under Power & sleep settings, click Additional power settings. From here, select Choose when to turn off the display. Select Restore default settings for this plan.
