U2723QE, when to enable Smart HDR? #2

I have the exact same problem, also Windows does not detect it as an HDR monitor. I don't see any firmware updates on the download page for this device. Will Dell release a patch for this?

carlosfvp,

How can your issues be the same if you cannot even enable Smart HDR in Windows?

When using non-HDR content like the standard Windows Desktop, HDR should be Off in the monitors Menu and in Windows Display Settings
* Change the monitor Menu- Display- Smart HDR to Off
* Right click on Windows Display Settings
* Switch HDR and advanced colors to Off

When using an HDR compatible Game or HDR compatible Movie, HDR should be On in the monitors Menu and in Windows Display Settings
* Change the monitor Menu- Display- Smart HDR to On
* Right click on Windows Display Settings
* Switch HDR and advanced colors to On

Dell may or may not be able to fix these issues with a firmware update. They've released one to beta testers, but it creates as many new issues as it solves. When/if Dell publicly releases a firmware update *and* you can find a half dozen or so data points indicating which issues the firmware update improves and which new issues it creates.

Hello, I was refering to the flickering. I can enable HDR on the monitor, but it makes no difference on Windows. On windows it's still showing as "Not compatible".

I can share a video of what I mean https://youtu.be/S3RNtyRfvLI

Hi,

We haven't heard from you. May I know if you have tried the above-suggested steps?
