U2913WM, after Windows update, not seen by DDM
Hello,
I have this monitor since it was introduced to our market and never had any issues with it until now.
I am using mDP to DP cable, DDC/CI enabled, DP1.2 disabled, GPU is AMD Radeon HD7950.
Since last Windows 10 update my monitor is not detected by Dell Display Manager and also Dell Display Driver says it cannot find Dell monitor. I can force install the driver, but it doesn't solve DDM.
Everything was working fine before the update. I tried uninstalling display drivers, monitor drivers, DDM but nothing helped. Friend of mine who is on the same Windows 10 and with AMD Radeon HD7970 + U2518D does not have this problem.
Dell Display Driver installer says this:
The following connected monitors have been detected:
Dell Plug and Play Monitor - DEL408B&VEN_1002&DEV_679A&SUBSYS_254C1458
Drivers for the following monitors have been found:
Dell U2913WM (Analog) - DEL4088
Dell U2913WM (Digital) - DEL4089
Dell U2913WM (HDMI) - DEL408A
Dell U2913WM (DP) - DEL408B
Drivers for the following connected monitor can be installed:
None
Please connect your monitor before running this program.

I understand that the DDM RC here works with 19H1.

I had TeamViewer before and without issues, but for now I uninstalled it, also drivers for GPU and monitor. After restart the GPU driver was installed automatically and monitor stayed at Generic PNP monitor, installer still doesn't recognise it so I think there is the same detection mechanism in installer and DDM as they both don't work :D

Close DDM if its running, then restart it and go into the DDM service menu to generate a diagnostic report: while holding down the SHIFT key, right-click on the DDM system tray icon and select "Save diagnostic report". It should show why the monitor isn't recognized.

It may just be a glitch in 19H1, which I'm sure you know is an early insider build. Definitely report the issue in the Microsoft Bug Bash which I think starts next week.

Dell Display Driver still doesn't find the monitor, but big thanks for the RC version of DDM after 2 hours idling in the system tray it suddenly detected the monitor and allows me to use all the features as before :)
