U3023E, lines and artifacts

Monitor still under warranty for another year and some horizontal and vertical started appearing on the monitor a few days ago on its own. A few days later, 2 black blotches also appeared on the monitor. Called tech support and I sent them a picture of the item =

They looked at the picture and said that they were not helping me even though they said it was an internal defect. Really, no reason was given as to why they wouldn't help diagnose the issue.

If this is the kind of support Dell provides for a monitor still under warranty, then I'm NEVER NEVER EVER going to buy a Dell monitor again.

I have 3 dual monitor setups here at home (all U3023E) and this is the only monitor showing the defect.

No warranty covers accidental damage -- which is what this is.  The screen is physically damaged.

See the two impact spots and the LCD bleed around them.

You will need to purchase a replacement monitor.
