U3219Q, audio not working

Hi,

I am using the U3219Q for two devices (DELL laptop and ASUS NUC) and everything works fine, except that audio only works from the laptop (speakers). The NUC does not send audio and I can't even see the audio driver in Sound Settings. The laptop is connected via HDMI and the NUC USB-C. Is this configuration supported and why can't the NUC see the audio driver, but does recognize the DELL Monitor Driver?

The 2019 released U3219Q does not have built-in speakers. Do you have powered external speakers plugged into the U3219Q rear Audio-Line out port?

Yes, Harman Kardon.  As I said, the laptop works fine - just the other device cannot access the speakers.

Compare the Device Manager of your laptop and the NUC. Is the U3219Q listed in both?

What specific NUC model?

Thanks,

I did that on the laptop and the driver is available, but not on the NUC (ASUS NUC15CRH).

Did you download the U3219Q driver onto the NUC (ASUS NUC15CRH) and install it? Then reboot and see if the U3219Q appears in the Device Manager.

I am stumped then. You should post the issue on the r/intelnuc forum to see if other NUC user can assist.

Thank you..

I think it may be down to the multimedia audio controller as the driver is no loading... I've tried to update the drive, remove the device but nothing works. I cannot work out from the ASUS site what driver it is, but everything looks up to date.
