U3419W, Linux, macOS, issues with sleep
I have a brand new U3419W monitor. It's a nice looking monitor.
The following thread has a really complete description of the same problem I am having.
The weird thing is that this U3419W has firmware version M3B111 which appears newer than any of the firmware versions that are downloadable from the Dell website.
The main issues I am having with this U3419W are the following =
- When connected to a MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019), the U3419W starts waking up my computer after a few minutes of sleep.
- When connected to any of my XPS 13 developer laptop (that shipped with Linux), it literally crashes my OS.
The U3419W, while it looks nice while it is on is a pretty huge disappointment. To see that folks have been having similar issues with this U3419W for >2 years is pretty disappointing. I am going to be returning this U3419W, but I really wish I didn't have to.
