U3419W, USB Type-C power delivery problem

I purchased two U3419W monitors without realizing there was this problem, and have been following this U3818DW thread, and I 100% agree with @jmiha and most others in this thread. I was fine dealing with the weird power cycle issue, and I would just unplug if I was away for a while, but this whole thread just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Unfortunately, I'm past my 30 day return period, or I would definitely return them.

Tip to Dell, if you only support Dell monitors connected to Dell machines, you should probably mention that in the tech specs (I couldn't find any mention of it on the product's web page anyway).

I have the same problems with my U3419W I just bought and am really shocked by the other thread. I bought it from Amazon and didn't see anything listed about it not being mac compatible. It had 4.3/5 stars so I didn't look closely at the reviews but it turns out the top critical review on Amazon for the U3419W is

NOT MacBook Pro / Air Compatible!!!!!

I wish I had read that! I think Dell is losing sales on this and needs to fix it. Dell refusing to fix it and arguing it's OK to sell a monitor that only works right with a few computers is really frustrating. I guess I'll have to return my monitor to Amazon if it doesn't get fixed soon.

Since the original "PowerDelivery issues" thread was locked. I'll post here a link to the issue I'm having with my U2719DC when paired with ASUS ZenBook S13 UX392. It certainly feels like the whole Dell lineup is plagued with PD issues

Hopefully, Dell will finally act.

For what it's worth, I got an LG 34WK95U-W (or 34BK95U-W) and it works great. Power delivery works perfectly and is high enough for a 16" Macbook Pro (85W). I would argue it's the best productivity-oriented monitor available for the Macbook Pro at this moment. If it were curved and I could control the volume from macos it would basically be perfect.
