U3425WE, P2720DC doesnt work as 2nd

Hi, I bought a new monitor: the U3425WE with integrated hub. Awesome monitor!

Before this, I had a WD19 dock, with 2 x P2720DC monitor. Now my new setup, as I want it to be: U3425WE with USB C to my laptop, and Thunderbolt4 cable to P2720DC. For some reason, the P2720DC doesnt work. Any idea how I can get this to work? I've tried every usb-c port on the U3425WE, and ofcourse, the one USB C port on the P2720DC. Sadly I cant get it to work. It does work if I out the p2720dc with usb c to my laptop... What am I doing wrong here?

Assuming the Laptop can drive both monitors at 3440x1440 120 Hz and 2560x1440 60Hz...

U3425WE #9/#14 DATA only, no video

Laptop USB-C --> U3425WE 1m TB4 cable --> U3425WE #8 Video + Data TB4/DP 1.4 upstream (Page 73 = Menu- Display- Thunderbolt Daisy Chain- Optimized)

U3425WE #7 Video + Data TB4 downstream --> P2720DC USB-C cable --> P2720DC #7 USB-C port

This is exactly my setup.

Crazy thing I just tried, because you said, 'assuming' your laptop can drive both monitors... Well, its an Asus fv506, 'gaming' laptop, so it should have enough power... Anyway, just put my work (dell) laptop on it, and it works, exactly as it should, as you said and as my setup is. Weird thing... oh well, for the games I play, I just need the big screen so thats OK. Still weird it does work on one, but not on the other though.

Thanks for your detailed reply, appreciate it.
