U3821DW, DDM Input Source vs KVM

Unknowingly updated to DDPM, big mistake! Uninstalled and reinstalled DDM from this page.

Version 2.3.2.23 looks different than earlier version of DDM 2.x, and I forgot what were the previous settings in relation to KVM.

The monitor is an U3821DW, connected to a PC (via DP and USB-B) and a laptop (via USB-C), sharing the same keyboard and mouse (via monitor's USB-A ports).

I remember I could switch between PC and laptop (both running DDM) by pressing a hot key (Shift-Control-M), all setup in Input Source section.

My question is what is the purpose of KVM settings in DDM? It seems Input Source setting is doing the KVM function just fine, am I missing something?
