U4919DW, KVM keyboard not working (reliably)

Question

I bought a U4919DW not in small part due to the KVM functionality, but my experience with it so far has been FRUSTRATION. I currently have about the most basic setup:

Desktop1 (NY): HDMI1 & USB1

Desktop2 (MT): HDMI2 & USB2

Both machines are running Windows 10 and are fully up-to-date with Windows Updates. Connected to the monitor is a single Logitech Unifying Receiver, supporting a (Logitech) MX Master 3 mouse and K800 keyboard. I've configured DDM to use hot-key "1" (Ctl-Alt-1) to switch to HDMI1 and "2" (Ctl-Alt-2) for HDMI2.

When I swap, after the delay to connect, the mouse generally works (although I have noticed the scroll-wheel being unresponsive at times, but that might be something else). As for the keyboard, I'd say it's about 50:50. MOST of the time, both work fine when I switch to MT (HDMI2), but much less reliably when I switch to NY (HDMI1). It seems to be SLIGHTLY more reliable when I switch using the monitor buttons (much less convenient of course) as opposed to the hot-keys (although still not what I'd consider RELIABLE).

I'm beginning to wonder if I made a mistake buying this thing.

Anyone else having similar issues?

I struggled at the start with intermittent issues, but in the end, the Dell (2nd or 3rd level) Support Team realized it must be a hardware issue, so as unpleasant as it was to swap this bad-boy out, that's what we did, and my problems disappeared immediately. Now, having said that, the PCs I don't think really LIKE the way the are being switched. I say that because I hear that familiar USB connect/disconnect 'boing' whenever I switch, and sometimes the windows have moved positions, but the keyboard, mouse, and video all WORK, which of course is the most important thing. I'm personally loving the single wide-screen as opposed to multiple monitors. Use standard Windows 'snapping' features in conjunction with PowerToys FancyZones and I'm more effective than with 2 monitors.
