Ultra Sharp 2408WFP Compatibility
I wish to purchase the 2408WFP but am concerned whether it is compatible with my old "Dimension 8250" The processor is an "Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4CPU 2.40GHz".
I am running Windows XP Pro SP3.
My current video card is a "NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 420" with 64MB of RAM. I don't plan on running this card with the 2408WFP. I need to know what card to use to take full advantage of the monitor's capabilities and will the repalcement card be compatible with my old "8250" computer ?
Any advice would be appreciated ! Thank you.

hmm i had the same issuue.. If you want to get the full performance of this monitor in VGA and DVI, make sure the supported resloution got 1900 X 1200 or more .
My Nvida GeForce FX 5500 has VGA 1900 X 1200 and DVI 1600 X 1200. So i am forced to run in VGA mode.

Thank you for replying to my post so quickly ! I hope to keep my old Dell Dimension 8250 for a while yet. Is the Nvida GeForce FX 5500 compatible with the motherboard of the 8250? I am willing to drop a little money on the video card, but it must be able to run on the 8250.

Does anyone else wish to contribute additional information? If I purchase a nVidia 66xx series (or higher), will it be compatible with the Dell 8250 series of computers AND the Dell Ultra Sharp 2408WFP ? I want to get it right the
