UP2414Q DisplayPort 1.2 Problem
If I turn on DP 1.2 in the monitor, my computer shows DisplayPort signal error and stop output any signal to the monitor. This situration also occurs in BIOS.
I have tried 2 display cards which support DP 1.2 (MST) (Intel HD 4600, AMD FirePro W4100). Both of them have same problem.
UP2414Q is connected as secondary monitor of my computer using mDP to mDP cable.
UP2414Q is M1T102 (A01). ISP UART ver. is 0211.
Are there any way to enable DP1.2 without error?

After 5 years of frustration, my DP 1.2 has finally started working like a charm at 4K 60Hz on Dell UP2414Q monitor. Also, the display and graphics card have suddenly become HDCP capable! Just got one of the best possible Vesa certified DP-DP cables (Club CAC-2068).
Although there is tons of discussion on the forums on the version of the Dell UP2414Q monitor as well as the MST capability of the graphics card, the culprit turned out to be the Dell OEM mini-DP to DP cable. I got the idea of purchasing a decent cable from discussions on the forums suggesting that monitor and cable manufacturers had no idea initially about not to connect pin-20 of the DP or mini-DP connectors. I am not sure if my monitor has started working at 60Hz because I am using a very superior cable (overkill) or it is simply because Club cable manufacturer confirms that they do not use pin-20.
BTW, the monitor recognized the DP cable only when I removed the HDMI cable which I had used for 5 years to connect at 4K 30Hz. For whatever it is worth, I have also downloaded the Dell Driver for UP2414Q (Win7, Win8, Win8.1). The driver works on Windows 10 64-bit.
I hope people are able to save their investment in an otherwise fine monitor!

Only the first monitor in a daisy chain has DP1.2 enabled. What is the 1st monitor in the chain? What video out ports are on the 1st monitor? Have you swapped them and tested?

For Intel HD 4600 environment, only UP2414Q is connected using mDP. Other monitor is connected using DVI which should not be in the daisy chain.
For FirePro environment, the dispaly card has 4 mDP ports (It supports 3 DP 1.2 monitors at the same time) . UP2414Q is connected to one of the mDP port. Other monitor is connected to another mDP port via a mDP-to-DVI convertor. They should not be in the same daisy chain.

I do not think the Intel HD has ever supported the 3840x2160 60Hz DP 1.2 resolution. The AMD driver must support DisplayID v1.3. Do both the Intel and FirePro function at the 3840x2160 30Hz DP 1.1a resolution?

Yes, both of them work perfectly in DP 1.1a mode at 3840x2160 30Hz.
The specification of my motherboard (Asus Z87-A) shows that it supports 3840x2160 @ 60Hz and DP 1.2.

I doubt that our monitor is defective. But to prove that, get a monitor exchange. Test the replacement. If it also has the same problem, the monitors cannot be at fault. The fault must lie elsewhere.
