usb downstream connector

Hello,

I have a Dell 1905FP monitor and I was wondering what the purpose of the usb connections on my monitor can or should be used for? Can anyone recommend a video card for a digital connection as well as a dual monitor set-up that would include my CRT monitor a Dell m992.

thanks

i have the same monitor as you - i use my USB connectors for things like dig cams and net MD - the cables are too sort to run from PC so i attach to monitor - i also connect my mouse to it so i have more cable on the desk - really they are handy for things you connect and disconnect alot so you dont have to go crawling about on the floor every time you need to change summat
i have the pci express x300se   you should look for a card that states it has dual monitor support as this will usually have dvi fot your fp monitor and analogue for crt   - this makes for a cool setup  the radeon pci express series have the dual monitor and are now shipped with most high end dell computers - it seems to work well for me but thgey are a tad pricey

hope this has helped  - did i write all that??:smileymad:
