What cable to use with 1901FP?

I will be setting up my new Dimension 8300 tonight.  I got the 1901FP display and the 128MB DDR GeForce FX 5200 Garphics card with TV out and DVI.  The instructions say to use either the blue (analog?) or white DVI cable.  The monitor came with the blue cable already attached.  Should I replace it with the DVI cable?

I am reading problems on this board about DVI failures so I am a bit nervous.  If that happens, can you use the blue cable to at least get video until the issue is resolved?

I have the same monitor and video card as you.

Use the white cable for DVI connection. BTW, I have had mine since September with NO problems. It's really a sweet monitor.

I have the same monitor. I used the White DVI cable. The only thing that I can recall that was a slight problem is that I had to push the middle button on the monitor to set this up. The monitor is great and no problems here.

Thank you both.  I currently have it connected with the blue cable but I will switch to the DVI cable.

bmarotto-

After you switch cables, you will have to press the middle button on the front of the display to switch from analog to digital mode.
