what difference between 19' E193fp AND 1905fp

Question

Im buying a new Dimension 8400.  In monitors my major concern is easy on the eyes and, thus, i guess clarity of image.  Is there a SIGNIFICANT differencebetween teh e193fp and 1905fp to justify the higher price for the 1905fp.   Looks like there is right now about a $100.00 difference in price.  thanks. feb, kcmo.

Get the 1905.

I had a 193 and it hurts the eyes badly.

Lots of folks on here agree.

Its too bright, the text is slightly blurry, and my eyes were so sore from staring at it trying to focus.

I got a 1905 and much better. softer on the eyes, and the built in USB ports are super handy.

interesting that you had this experience.  after i posted this question i posted another requesting to know difference between analog and digital view on 1905 fp and was assured difference i minimal to unnoticeable.  I also looked at the specs on dell for 1905 and 193fps, noticed they were identical except the 1905 has a few more bells and whistles such as usb ports and digital.  thus, suspecting they are exactly the same monitor.  so, i ordered the 193fp, i have it, and it is exactly like my mother's 1905fp in every respect including viewability, which on mine, is great.  of course, i have a brand new model.  i have read on the forum thatsome of the early models had problems.  i am unable to see any difference between the two monitors.  feb, kcmo.
