What is new in DCCS version 1.6

I have version 1.58 of DCCS which I use to calibrate my U2413 monitor.  I see that version 1.6 is now available.  Does anyone know what changes were made in the new version.  I am concerned about updating and adding conflicts with my monitor.

Where do you see a direct link to 1.6? I do not see it on the U2413 page. 1.5.8 was the last version I can find that was validated for the U2413.
1.5.11 = UP3017
1.5.10 = UP2716D, UP2516D
1.5.9 = UP3216Q

When I opened DCCS to do a periodic monitor calibration, I got a message that version 1.6 is now available and asking if I wanted to upgrade. I declined and decided to investigate instead.  I did not seek a direct link.  If 1.6 does not apply to my U2413, why am I being asked to update?

Not sure. There should be an option in the software to "turn off" the update notification.

But if I did that, how would I know when a valid update for my monitor became available?  Or will there never be another update?

I cannot know what they might do in the future. If all is working at 1.5.8, I would never update the software. That is my opinion on any driver or software. Understand, we are talking about a 4 year old monitor. The odds are against X-rite testing it on new updates. But again, your call. You can test the new version. If no go, uninstall it, install 1.5.8 and stop it from auto-updating.

I'll take your advice and let it stay at 1.5.8.  If I remember correctly, when I first got the monitor, in another thread, you gave us the name of an x-rite engineer for more information.  Do you remember that?

They told us that they would not respond directly to customers anymore.

So, they expect Dell to provide all customer support on the x-rite/Dell software.  That would be ok as long as x-rite provided training, support and the latest info to  Dell employees specifically paid to support the product.  Is this the case?

In theory, yes.
