Always keep a copy of bootstrap, also, take a bootstrap backups as soon as you get the NetWorker server up with the old configuration.Also, ensure all the groups are in a disabled mode.

Also, if your organization has kept a retention of 1 week and your recovery takes more almost a month then you are definitely not meeting your RTO neither your RPO. that means the current DR process is not valid, you have to update and tune your DR process and this is why organizations run DR drills at least once a year.

Yep, you could do that. even if the data expires you could get it back anytime, unless your target devices are file type.

But i doubt you would ever come across such a situation where an organization goes on with out production data for 1 month . But, you never know .

And if you go to the practical side of what needs to be done to block the store clean? Run the nsrmm command-y-e MM/DD/YY-w MM/DD/YY-S ? to change the rotation of the save set?
