Adding new scalar i500 within networker

Question

I’m trying to get a new scalar i500 with 3 tape drives added in networker to my new primary Win 2008 DR server running networker 7.6.2 .  I’ve given the tape library an IP address and can ping it without any problems.  I have the tape drives connected directly to the server via FC connections.  What is the best way to add the library within networker?

Hi,

There are two ways you can configure Tape library within Networker.

1) Configure Library from NMC GUI.

2) Configure library from Command line

Hi, Have a look in the NetWorker Administration Guide.  There is a section on 'Configuring Libraries and Devices' which describes in detail what you need to do. -Bobby
