Question

Running Networker server on Solaris 10 64-bit hardware, and trying to enable virtualisation discovery, following discovery, it completed successfully...however everytime when you Configuration tab in NMC, it popup following message and no objects have been discovered under virtualisation option.

an invalid xml character (unicode: 0x13) was found in the element content of the document

I have restarted GST services and reinstall JRE 5.0 Update 15, but still not resolving my problem.

Is that 7.5.1 you use?

Yes, we are running NetWorker 7.5.1.Build.360 Power Edition/475, and I can't find any related issue in the release notes.

It might be a wrong path, but I suspect java to be the problem here. If you update java to 1.6 do you still get the same error?

I found few references to this problem on next for the same error... one interesting one is http://support.microsoft.com/kb/325694

I suspect one of the elements used for discovery doesn't work and needs to be patched.
