Autoclean not working
I have a tape drive that has the cleaning required flag set but nothing happens, the drive does not get cleaned even though there is a valid cleaning tape in the library. It seems that the only time the library will clean a drive is immediately after power cycling the libarary.

I have always found it better to setup the automatic cleaning on the library console instead of in Networker.

Check that they are the same. OR setup the automatic cleaning on the library console. TThis is what I use and nerver experience any problem. Also check that Auto cleaning is enabled!!

After a lot of difficulty with a customer's environment or three, I have found that the most reliable approach to take with library device cleaning is to configure the actions within the library and to disable the functionality within NetWorker.
Care should be taken when configuring the library to ensure that there are library configured slots to hold cleaning media before NetWorker is configured. This will also ensure that if you inventory the library, NetWorker will not mount the cleaning tapes "accidentally" and reporting that cleaning media has been loaded.
Also, certain manufacturers of library hardware have specific media load sequences for cleaning tapes and so the relevant hardware docs should be referenced before loading the cleaning media.
