Backing up a MS cluster virtual node
I am hoping someone can help me with this one, its probably really obvious but its a long time since I configured a backup of a MS cluster!
I have a cluster with two physical nodes and one virtual node. Physical nodes have a connection to the production and backup network and backup fine over the backup network; virtual node has a connection to the production network only and can be pinged fine; however backups fail and I cannot contact client with nsradmin -p 390113 -s virtualnode which may be the problem
I have configured the virtual node as follows:
saveset: All (as I do not know which drives are the virtual ones)
backup command: save -c virtualnode
aliases; short and FQDN
server network interface: I have tried backup and production name of backup server
remote access: system@physicalnode1,system@physicalnode2,system@physicalnodebackup1,system@physicalnodebackup2
Any ideas?

the proplem seems to be in communication. if both of the physical nodes work fine in backup then you should have the virtual node work. unless there is proplem in DNS and reserver lookup , I advice you to update the virula node IP in hosts files of both physical NODES and stop nsrexec on both , rename the tmp folders then try tha backup again

you must create the file extension pathownerignore without on each cluster node.

Hi,
you must create the file pathownerignore without extension on each cluster node on the path in the folder bin of networker.
