backup is aborted exactly every 2 hours!!!
Hi;
I have a serious problem backing up a file system path. Here is the situation:
I have a file system save set at about 1.4 TB on the host local disk.
The host is win 2003 enterprise edition and Networker Client 7.4 is installed.
Both host and the backup server has a gigabit ethernet.
The backup server is running on windows 2003 and Networker 7.3 SP3 is installed.
I scheduled the group and give 5 retries incase it is aborted. After exactly 2 hours later, the group job is aborted and start from the beginning. It retries 5 times but it is aborted after 2 hours later again.
When we look at the firewall logs, there is such a log:
Nov 10 12:11:06 212.x.x.x %FWSM-6-302014: Teardown TCP connection 145789349366995507 for fatura-web:10.x.x.x/4155 to inside:10.x.x.x/9385 duration 1:59:38 bytes 2627068292 TCP Reset-O
Could you please help about this???

Looks like you have a timeout period of 2 hours configured in your firewall. Have a look at the NetWorker Admin Guide about configuring the NSR_KEEPALIVE setting which is designed to keep a link between the client and the server open during the backup.
Also, would consider another approach to your backup - 1.4TB even across a gigabit LAN would make me start to think more about SAN connecting this client to the tape library and using locally installed Storage Node. This way, only the meta data crosses the LAN and the backup DATA is contained within the SAN.
