Seems a connectivity issue. Three things that I can think of:

1. Is NAS available on ping, nslookup?
2. Is the ndmp service working on NAS?
3. Did you enter the correct user name & password in the client resource for the NAS box?

This should help.

I have ask to NAS installation officer.
They said setting already but set in default (ndmp user and password default).

Does it can use default?.

many Thank.

It should depending on the permissions available.

i never tried nsrndmp -M option which is NDMP DSA method

however, 2 things that i can think of about this error meesages
1. user name and password...yes, it can accept default, but if you are configuring non-ndmp device then i wonder where you supply these login info..

2. tape device at storage node unable to start nsrmmd...check server config of the jukebox

The error is here:

nsrndmp_save: data connect: failed to establish connection

Failed to establish happens for usually one of the following reasons:

1) Username and/or password specified is incorrect (keep in mind that it is case sensitive and on the Celerra the username must be ndmp.

2) You do not have a valid NDMP client connection license in NetWorker to backup this client.

3) You do not have a valid storage node specified in the client resource....since you are using -M (ndmpdsa) you should have either the NetWorker server itself (nsrserverhost) or the hostname of a valid NetWorker (non-NDMP) Storage node listed.

Please let me know if the above helps.

One trick you can try with the ndmp account....if you have ftp enabled on the datamover....ftp to the datamover from the NetWorker server and try logging in using the same ndmp user account and the password you are specifying in NetWorker. If that logs in successfully, you know the ndmp account is valid.
