Hi,
Can any body tell me, how to calculate the maximum bandwidth which I can get for backing up 300 GB database over 100 MBPS LAN?

Under ideal conditions a 100 Megabit LAN will transfer data at a rate of 10 Megabytes per second (I usually see less, like 9.2 MBs/sec). So a 300,000 MB database (300 GBs) will take 30,000 seconds or 8 1/3 hours (3,600 seconds in a hour).
You can reduce the time by compressing the data before it's sent over the LAN by using compressasm. I've reduce our backup times by a few hours by doing this.
