Cannot connect to Mac OSX Snow Leopard client to back up
Installed Networker 7.6SP5 client on Max OSX 10.6.8 ("Snow Leopard"), cannot connect for backups or from Networker Console in the client config to list filesystems to select for backup.
Debugging attempt... turned firewall off on the Mac, it is in the same subnet as backup server, so no firewall between them.
Mac user reports: "OK, firewall off, rebooted, firewall still off, Activity Monitor shows nsrexecd"
rpcinfo -p fails from backup server (Solaris 10 OS)
Tried on the Mac:
rpcinfo -p localhost (works)
program vers proto port
100000 2 tcp 111 portmapper
100000 2 udp 111 portmapper
390436 1 tcp 8335
390435 1 tcp 9192
390113 1 tcp 7937 nsrexecd
100007 2 udp 606 ypbind
100007 2 tcp 1020 ypbind
BUT, on the Mac still,
rpcinfo -p (fails!)
rpcinfo: can't contact portmapper: RPC: Remote system error - Operation timed out
So, what else do we need to do to this Mac?

Can other clients back up successfully?
If so,
Can client-initiated backup be successful?
What’s the result if runing nsrports on the Mac client?
Usually this problem is caused by firewalls. Please make sure again firewalls on turned off on the client.

I think we have it working now... was config issue, wrong hostname.
