Cannot Connect To Resdb Database Error on SQL server

Question

Hi ,

I am facing a problem where the db backup fail with the follwoing message:

the error is 29336:nsrsqlsv:Cannot connect to resdb database

The current version of networker base and SQL module are 7.4 and 5.1.

Please help..

Usually you would see that when you have some sort of problem between client and server in communication. Is this new install or has something changed - in other words did this ever worked for you and if yes what has changed since.

Hi,Yes , you are absolutely right. There is communication problem between this client and the backup server due to DNS change. I have asked Network team to fix that .. and it is all ok now..Thank you very much for the information..

Hi communication error, what could be ? DNS is resolving other than that what ? telnet is working from and to all sql and Networker server and to cluster too.

where i have to check please advice
