Can't backup the same Saveset twice
Hey,
Anyone getting problems in back up the same saveset twice?
This is a Networker 8.2, I'm trying to run a Filesystem backup and if I try to run a secound backup to same save set ( Ex: c:\windows\fonts ) it return this message:
98519:save: Unable to setup direct save with server rtsvrntcs.infra.local: no matching devices for save of client `sqldb01.xxxxx.pt'; check storage nodes, devices or pools.
90095:save: Cannot open save session with 'rtsvrntcs.xxxxx.local': no matching devices for save of client `sqldb01.xxxxxx.pt'; check storage nodes, devices or pools
11390:nsrd: no matching devices for save of client `sqldb01.xxxxx.pt'; check storage nodes, devices or pools
94693:save: The backup of save set 'C:\compaq' failed.
Anyone getting this?

Your pool configuration is wrong.

Check again. The error message is clear - stream as such does not match any existing pool configuration to accept it and therefore it errors out.
What you can do is post here tarball of nsrdb on server along with daemon.log portion showing error (and not showing error as you say) and it would be easier to point it out.

Don't think so because the first try to the saveset the backup runs with no problem this error only appears in the secound job.

It was the pool configuration.

I've got the same error messages ... what was wrong with the pool?

Please give us a chance - a bit more info would be helpful.
What did you want to achieve? backups or clonings/staging?
- With respect to backup pools there could be a bunch of possibilities.
- Wrong selection criteria is one thing
- Selecting (wrong) devices is another one.
If you clone, do not forget that the same SSID must only exist/refer to the same media once.

Check, in the Pool configuration, the backup level it should be everything selected.
