Cluster Sun Solaris 10

Please, Help!!!

I'm configuring a virtual client to work with networker 7.3.2 for Unix Solaris.

After the creation of the client, as described in NetWorker Manual, Cluster Support, there's the following error: ¿Probe job had unrecoverable failure(s)¿
This error only happens when a group with a virtual client starts. If the group starts with the physical hosts, the error won¿t occur.

The NWServer can ping the client (physical and virtual ) and the clients (physical and virtual ) can ping the NWserver. rpcinfo -p works in both sides (client-server, server-client).

My question is: For HP-UX there¿s some information for /etc/cmcluster, but is necessary anything else for solaris 10? Where can I find this information? How NetWorker can understand that it¿s a virtual machine?

OS: SunOS 5.10 Generic_118833-18 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-V490 / SunCluster: 3.1.0 Revision: 2005.07.18.14.17

Did you run networker.cluster script? Is lcmap configured correctly after? What happens if you run client initiated job?

root@utic080 # networker.cluster
% Cluster packages missing. Cannot configurce.
root@utic080 #

root@utic080 # lcmap.sc30
type: NSR_CLU_TYPE;
clu_type: NSR_LC_TYPE;
interface version: 1.0;
/usr/sbin/lcmap.sc30: scha_cluster_get: not found
/usr/sbin/lcmap.sc30: scha_cluster_get: not found
root@utic080 #

Running client initated job apears that: "Probe job had unrecoverable failure(s)"

If networker.cluster script is not able to detect cluster that means:
a) something is wrong with cluster configuration
b) something is wrong with networker.cluster script

As 3.1 cluster should be supported I would suggest to involve support on this one. Before that make sure you did follow instructions from installation guide.

Ok, I'm talking with the technical support and trying changes inside the networker.cluster script. Until now, nothing works and they're are still verifying.

Ask them to manually configure lcmap file - that might resolve the backup issue until real problem is found.
