Dedicated Backup Networks with Networker
Hi,
Is it possible to setup a networker configuration where there a separate backup network per domain? Does the networker server need to have connectivity to the backup network NIC of each storage node and/or client? I would like the networker server to communicate to each storage node and client on the management network and have backup occur from client to storage using the respective backup network.

What you could do is have the hosts file on the storage nodes updated with the IP on the Backup VLAN. That way when the communication occurs between the Storage node and the client it should route through the backup VLAN. The backup server need not have access on this network as you are still going to use the production VLAN for the initial communication. Note that that even the client's hosts file will have to be updated with the backup VLAN IP of the storage node.

But, in our environment we are using DNS. So, even though we need to use host files?
