DPM backup

We have a DPM server which backups up our Exchange using Direct Attached Storage. They want Networker to back up the DPM server so it can be sent offsite for disaster recovery. NMM is not an option since it doesn't support storage nodes. Bringing down the DPM application and backing up the files doesn't work since Networker cannot back up the DFS shares. Is anyone backing up DPM using either Networker or straight to an EDL?
