Error: Failed to create named instance directory

Question

I'm trying to backup a SQLServer instance, and it seems NetWorker is backing it up fine, but when I check on the results there's an error saying: Failed to create named instance directory. Find below the nsrsqlsrv.log. I also have found that when I run the NetWorker User for SQL Server I cannot see the local instance, I only see 2 other instances running on my server. This server (BDA16) is a node of a cluster. The other 2 instances (bda35 and bda43) are the clustered instances. If I remember correctly there some additional switches to be used when backing up clustered instance. Top of my head, I believe there is also newer build of 4.1 version you're using and some of the fixes might be of your interest. That would be two first steps I would follow if I were you.

So do I have to modify my Client and specify something different in the saveset definition, or do i have to modify something in the Group resource ?

None - I believe cluster switch is something you modify in backup command of the client resource. If you check docs there should be part talking about that (also check release supplement - there are always good hints there).
