Howdy! The thing that confuses me most is this has been backing up fine for over a year. We added some new pc's, a domain and changed the name of the PC. I checked DNS, IP, aliases, etc... all are correct as far as I can see. There are two servers in this group and when I do a group restart it just shows 'restarting with 1 client'. It doesn't even show the other server in the group. I'm still kicking around but still have no answer yet!
I FIGURED IT OUT!! Thanks to you who helped me. Even though I had backed it up before I did the nslookup on my backupserver which was pointing to our outer DNS server instead of our internal DNS. I switched that around and it's backing up as we speak. I have to say the support i've gotten from everyone in this forum has been top notch. Thanks!
Knowledge base is fine - just select proper software group and unselect documentation and you will get hits. Also, select whole all words in query if pasting error message to get 100% hit against the results for your query.
Sorry but I have to mention that the knowledgebase is not fine, the old knowledgebase was the solution of all my problems/doubts. Right now I only can check this forum or open a case with support. If I uncheck documentation the results are 0 or my own cases.... I'm really frustrated with this new "unknowledgebase"...
Your right - but this is something new - it was not the case before. I just tried it myself by using nsrmmgd as search pattern and it just brings hits from this forum. I will post this as a problem here: http://forums.emc.com/jive3/forum.jspa?forumID=2
Someone should take a look and fix it in no time (hopefully).

try commands ping and nslookup (from both hosts). Check DNS entries and entries in hosts files (if any).
