How do you add a client to an exisiting Networker Group?

Hello all,

Can someone please advise on the procedure/steps required to add a new client which requires backing up to an already configured exisiting Networker Group?

I'm assuming by dioing this, Networker will backup the server using the already defined Group details....i.e. Media, Device, Schedule etc.

Just define client and mark the group you wish this client to belong to.

Thank you for your response. I'm new to Networker so can you elaborate a little more please.

Not sure how you would define the client and mark the group.

Got to the Configuration tab of the NMC and choose Clients option. On the right side of the screen, right-click and choose Add. Type the cline tname (hostname of the client), type saveset(folders to be backed up) & in the Groups list, select the Group in which you want to back this up.

Spend some time with admin guide or help menu in NMC.

you can use the command line interface (nsradmin) to achieve this also. see esg61973 for more information. i am not sure if you have access to it or not.
