How does celerra detect the newly connected tape drive

Question

Hi All, I have question regarding Celerra detecting a newly connected tape drive. For example once after I zone 2 new tape drive to Celerra, will the NAS admin have to do some sort of device reconfigure ( refresh ) or does Celerra has to be rebooted in order to create the device files ? Because I am planning to run jbconfig on a Unix server and assign these 2 drive to Celerra. Thanks

I remember we had to reboot vdm, but I do not remember was it because of drives or some other staff we were doing at the same time... the best place to ask this is Celerra forum:

You don't have to reboot the data mover. Run the following command from the control station: server_devconfig server_2 -c -s -n After that perform an inquiry from the NetWorker server by running the folliwng command: inquire -N -T -t
