I have not experienced it myself, I Googled it and this is what I found;
Your First Storage Group should have Mailbox Store and Public Folder Store mounted. In the event of a Recovery Storage Group being created the Mailbox Store will usually be unmounted thus creating this problem of not being backed up and an Invalid Sequence being returned. Simply empty the Store in the Recovery Storage Group and Delete it, you may be informed to remove the log files later.
