Hyper-V Backup

Hi all,

I am trying to take backup of hyper-v servers with 3 node clusters.

In my environment setup is Active - Active.

If I am selecting few (1, 2, upto 10)  VM's from my virtual cluster node (only CSV), Backup running without any issue.

If I am selecting all VM's (31 VM) under my Virtual cluster node (only csv), it's failing.

In log, I noticed below part. Might be useful for you to advise me.

115724:nsrsnap_vss_save:SnapShot creation completed in all nodes sending Completion Signal

95937:nsrsnap_vss_save:A slave job failure has been identified, stopping all slave jobsNMM...Hyper-V CSV backup failed on Node '', Please check NMM.raw file for more details.

96821:nsrsnap_vss_save:NMM...Hyper-V CSV backup failed on Node '', Please check NMM.raw file for more details.

Internal error.

102333 1432842690 3 0 0 17184 4220 0 prhypv03.mha.local nsrsnap_vss_save NSR error 21 Exiting with failure. 0

Thanks,

Samuel Thomas

i recommend reading troubleshooting ( Hyper-V ) vss issues using diskshadow  and try a Manual snapshot with tat method. Could be that sme vm´s had Problems creating vss full´s ( checj latest Version of Integration Utils, and that a SCSI HBA is within the VM) or a timeout issue ( writer quitting after 20 Minute per Default )

Without the nmm.raw only guessing . . .

Still issue persisting... I agree without NMM.raw, it would be tough to understand the issue. Is't possible for you to check Service Request 71558842? Because there i uploaded NMM log.

That community blog page does not seem to exist anymore. From the title it looks like they are using disk shadow to troubleshoot the VSS issue, I found a similar post for a different application though but i think you can try this - https://kb.acronis.com/content/45472
