Hi

I have a problem with backing up lotus server, I supposed to backup the NOTES: save set, but I got error message.
Then I changed the save set to ALL and also I still getting this error

The lotus version is 6.5
Networker version is 7.4.4

You can't use saveset All with NOTES setup (that is using NOTES module backup command). So let's go back to original problem, when you have NOTES: saveset. In that case, what is your client setup, especially AI field? What do you have in backup script and did you try to use it manually from client?

Hi Hrvoje
I did not understand your questions, I am brand new to networkder.

I just tried ALL save set, because I need also to backup the C: drive and to make sure that the problem is not with the NOTES: save set.

Check the hostname in the aliases of the client properties.
Make sure it is correct.

By All field he means saveset specified in client resource.
By backup script he means script you are using for taking online backup of Lotus Notes.
And by manually from client, whether you have tried to take client intiated backup?
For taking backup of C: drive you need to take file system backup.
while taking backup of C: drive did you eliminated backup command from client resource properties?

NOTES: is a special saveset name that can only be used with the Networker for Notes module; the Networker for Notes module can also only use the NOTES: saveset, other saveset names are not valid for it.
The module being used is specified in the client configuration in the backup command field; if it is blank it will use save.exe, the default which is the Networker client - this is what you use to backup file systems and the system savesets - the All saveset gathers the list of local file systems and system savesets which is why it is only used with save.exe. If you are using the Networker module for Notes you need to specify in the backup command field nsrnotesv.exe (there is also a bit more to it than that as you usually have to specify a configuration file which you really need to work through with the manual as its a little complicated!).

So we really need to know first of all whether your configuration was correct or not, and the error message would be useful too.

AI field is Application Information field which you will find in client resource for client.

What I said before is that is not possible just to change saveset for existing client because NOTES setup requires some additional parameters within client resource configuration which do not work with saveset All and will break it. Since you are new to this I would suggest you open a support ticket, have support log via webex or whatever and see them in action. That would be fasr learning curve for you.
