IBM ULTRIUM-TD2 SCSI Sequential Device ... ADIC 24 Library
Hello,
I am installting a new ADIC Scalar 24 Tape Library with 16 slots... and it has this IBM ULTRIUM-TD2 SCSI Sequential Device tape drive; and I guess that even in the ADIC documentation they state that all I need to have is a driver for that device , and The Scalar 24 can operate using the standard media changer driver
provided with the Windows Removable Storage Manager, or in our case here NetWorker Autochanger..right?
My first question is: Where do I get this IBM drive driver from??
Second Question would be: is it right to say that the NetWorker Autochanger Module will handle the Scalar 24 without any additional drivers to be installed?
Note: I didn't even get a Found New Hardware Wizard dialog box when I connected it.... is that alright? (Platform is Windows 2000 Server SP4)
Regards, and appreciate a response so I can proceed with installation tomorrow ASAP.

it also has all the doco you may want to peruse.
There is No Autochanger Module within Networker, autochangers are a functionality controled by networker.

When you say there are no Autochangers... well, ok... but the Autochanger License for 16 slots for example in NetWorker .. will enable it to control the 16 slots of the Adic 24 , correct? and we don't need to install any additional driver for that to be done..?

The ADIC Scaler24 will not allow you to configure/partition it as a 16 slot jukebox.
