Incr backups not working, I'm only getting FULL
I've setup a client group called file share which contains 4 clients all have the default schedule set on them which is Full on Tues, incr the rest of the week. The problem I'm experiencing is that a Full backup runs every night. I cannot get incremental backups, any help would be much appreciated.
All cleints in my default group are backing up properly according to the schedule setup, I'm wondering if there's something missing from my file share group that's not allowing it to follow the schedule assigned.
Thanks, Matt
Is it possible the reason I'm experiencing this is because the clients in the file share media group belong to a 2003 cluster and are listed by there virtual name. Does anyone know if this is a known issue? i might have to list it by cluster node name and list save set information?

At the end of the group, see what level it shows for the save sets in the savegrp OR Group details. If it shows FULL, you should check the schedule you have set in the client resources as well as group resource. If set in group resource, it will take precendence over the schedule set in the client resource. Another thing to check is that if Group Schedule is not set but the LEVEL is set in the Group resoruce to FULL, then also it will be a full backup.
If it shows INCR or a level still it takes nearly a Full backup, it means that your files are being accessed/modified very frequently. When it goes for incr, it compares the file date alongwith the backup date and any mismatch backs up the file so if the file date has changed, the file gets backed up again.

As Anuj Said see the details of sucessfull backup which has been recently taken its incr or FULL . If it is full try manual backup . In this also not wokring ,Go to medial pool , Right click on the user defined media pool and go to properties and select selection creiteria Tab and go to the Levels, In that check it out both the FUll and Incr are checked . If not check the both boxes and try to take Incremental . Because it works for me also .

I just reviewed my media pool properties as suggested by Rajesh S and it appears that nothing is checked under levels. Does both FULL and INCR need to be checked to get both backup types for a particular media set? If yes, then this is most likely my problem. Please let me know. Thanks, matt

Within Networker I have a client name (shared1) which is in a group called fileshare. The file share group has 3 clients for shared1. All of the shared1 properties have an alias named server1.ets.com. With the alias listed I should be able to do incremental backups for each directory on S:\ but I only get full????
When I manually restart the backup for that group all 3 jobs kickoff and show the correct level schedule under monitoring waiting to run, after 5 seconds they all change from incr to FULL why is this?
