As Hrvoje said, it is most likely the case that you 'mis-pool'.
Do not forget that the index data is exclusively stored on the backup server. As a consequence, these backups belong to the server's client, not to any other one that you intend to backup.
Please check some earlier threads for the same problem. Most likely pool to which these clients write to does not exist on backup server (either you make that possible or you start using so called index pool as solution to such conditions).
Issue was with the media pools. I had 3 groups setup and only one was checked in the full media pool. I selected the other two groups in it, and now the backups work.
