Index backup queued and only started when all groups finished

Hi all,

I saw a strange behaviour. In the NW envrionment are 2 physical drives shared with 2 Celerras. 4 groups ran at the same time, 2 backups of a Celerra and 2 file backups. The 2 file groups and 1 Celerra group already finished and the last Celerra group was still backing up. Only the index of the clients needed to be written to tape. But the index backups were queued and only started to run as the NDMP backup finished. I'm sure that the server parallelism wasn't reached, because on each group was only 1 index save set to back up. I saw a same question in this forum, but only with the conclusion that the user opened a case with EMC. I'd like to avoid opening a case at the moment. Any ideas?

That's the old thread:

Index will be saved once saves for that client are done.  I suspect that, due to DDS, drives to be used for index save (on server) can't be used as they are currently used by Celerra which currently locks these drives for its own backups.  You can easily verify that by checking daemon log and seeing which drives is available and when.
