Didn't quite get what you mean by clone backups to avamar node. Do you want to backup to both NW and to Avamar? Or do you want to move backups in NW to Avamar? For the first, you would need to do the backup twice. If it is the second, you would need to restore all the backups to a staging area and then backup to Avamar.
I've tested the AVAMAR Equipment and it was running in a good shape. It's not a problem to backup Servers over longer distances, but you must remember:
1.) all the traffic is clientbased. 2.) the first backup is much bigger than the following ones. 3.) Recovery??? you should test that, in cause of a Distaster or so how long. 4.) Costs???? 5.) Check Integration into Networker 7.5
I planned to use a single node in branch office and then to replicate them to our central datacenter (multi node). I just want to take my jukebox offline as fast as possible that`s why I asked for cloning nsr backups to avamar. Perhaps 7.5 will help. I will take a look to release notes.
