Sounds as not all aliases were defined - at least one reported as IP. Besides, it needs name resolution so make sure IP with name is listed in either DNS or /etc/hosts correctly.

Update /etc/hosts on both server & client with their IP, Host Name & fully qualified domain name.

If still it gives a problem, use the aliases field with all the above parameters.

I now have all aliases working, but now I apperently have a license problem with ClientPaks for LINUX/1, so maybe this is the real issue.

I will be back when I find out why Our licenses do not cover Linux clients

As you server is Windows clientpak for Linux is required if you want to run their backups. Perhaps that license was ordered, but got lost somehow... the best thing is to check it out with person who really did PO.
