Mailbox Store Recovery - Versions missing.

I'm trying to restore a particular mailbox store. The most recent backup is displayed as being the last 'Full' and not the 'Incrementals' that have run since. However, the last backup dates on the Storage Groups report the 'Incremental' date. Why is there this discrepancy? Can I restore a single mailbox store?

I think the way to do it is via MS RSG in 2003, but for that you need to backup SG. I'm not sure now, but I think if you do whole IS only that you probably need another EXCH box and sync what you want between. There are few people with EXCH experience here who probably will be in position to tell you more.

I haven't backed up individual mailboxes. I just backup the Information Stores.

Full backup Fri. Inc Mon->Thu.

It appears I can restore the whole IS back to the last incremental backup but individual mailbox stores only back to the last Full backup.

Cheers

You can restore directly singlle mailbox if it was backed up that way.

Sorry I explained incorrectly. I backup the IS and this enables me to retore the SG's, therefore the RSG is a possble option. The individual mailbox stores are also displayed but with different dates to thier corresponding SG. I just can't see why.

Thanks for your help.

It seems to me that NetWorker Exchange Recovery User is looking into the index and see ONLY full backups for Storage Groups (consider that when you're picking different time there is a correct value for storage groups). While you're picking the right date in "Browse Time" option - you can be sure that you're recovering the right thing. I have no problems with this.
