Meta Data Errors

I'm getting errors about meta data on a couple of vm backups.  This would be vmware 5,1 using a windows 2008 proxy to our newly upgraded 8.1.1 networker software.  I have over 5GB free on the servers and plenty of free disk space on proxy?

btained the virtual disks for the VM.

Change block tracking is disabled for VM: GVTPR-BED-APP01

File level Recovery from Image level backup is enabled.

MORef for the VM is obtained.

Obtained the virtual disks for the VM.

Using 'nbdssl' as the transport mode for Hard disk 1.

Using 'nbdssl' as the transport mode for Hard disk 2.

Unable to write the meta data. Please check the available free space.Exiting.

90257:nsrvadp_save: The metadata could not be generated. Exiting.

Is this a new backup configuration or was it working fine earlier?

Was there any recent changes?

For testing purpose try changing the transport mode to nbd and run backup. See if its anything to do with transport mode.

I just took over Networker and I upgraded to 8.1.1 from 7.6.3. Snapshot is created but backup sits there in the waiting state…

Forgot to mention that all our backups are IP based.  No fiber backups.  One of the clients complained about snapshot software being installed as I upgraded the client.  I removed the snapshot software and upgraded the client to 8.1.1 and it started working.  The other still just sits there.
