Migration of Networker to another vm
Good morning, dear friends,
We currently have the networker version 19.6.1.3 installed on a windows 2012 r2 the idea is to move it to a windows server 2019.
My queries would be as follows:
How is the bootstrap done?
Which folders have to be backed up before the migration?
How to move the program "LMTOOLS" which is used for the license?
What other things to keep in mind for the migration?
Thank you very much for your help
Best regards

Your destination VM should have the same hostname as your source
You must install NW s/w into the same directory structure as your source
How is the bootstrap done?
Bootstap gets backed up through server protection policy - you will need the bootstrap id - run "mminfo -avot -B" command on your NW server and capture the output
Which folders have to be backed up before the migration? You do not need to do this, just run nsrdr command and follow the prompts (make sure to configure the device which has your bootstrap backup, do not mount it). If you want to copy the folders - .../nsr/index, /nsr/res, /nsr/mm, /nsr/lockbox

I'm on vacation now, but I understand that it will be done on 04-03.
Thank you for your concern!
