monitoring user in NMC

Question

I want to create a user that has the following permissions:
- can look at the monitoring pane in NMC and monitor the running backups
- can not enable/disable autostart property of the NW groups
- can not start/stop running NW groups

i have created a user that has the "monitor networker" permission but it can start/stop NW groups which i do NOT want.

can anyone help about this?

'Monitor networker' allows to start/stop groups. There is no other permission. Even I give no permission, it also can start/stop groups.

'Monitor Networker' should not allow you to start/stop groups, 'Operate Networker' is the permission for doing this. Is really no other permissions set for that user/group?

Is this with NMC on the same box as backup server perhaps? If so then I believe you already know this is known bug...
