Mounting & unmounting, inventory & label with automatic
Dear All,
we are taking server intiated backup,
My question is : if you insert a 16 tapes into autoloader, i want to unmount, inventory, label, mount, these following functions should work automatically before group backup starts.
If it is possible How to do it?
if it is not Why?
we are using,
legato networker 7.1.2 with build 325,
autoloader Dell 124T with 16 slots and one drive,
windows 2003 server platform,

Mounting and unmounting is done by NW - there is no need for you to do that.
Inventory is newer and supported versions have been implemented thus if you have AMM (automatic labeling of new tapes). NW is aware of change in library without need to do reset (as in your version most probably) - even this depends on library model as well.
If changes done to library were done using NW (deposit and withdraw) then NW is aware of those changes.
