Officially it is not supported (some people might disagree with this as well), but it should work (some people reported success and some did not - I had mixed results, but given the official status I didn't dig too much). You would need to copy mm and resources (after that you will need to delete existing notifications as they will match Windows host and not Linux one, also jukebox address would change and so would drive locations so there are few things to correct) and finally you would do nsrck -L7.

supported if done by EMC's own consultants!
That is what was said before - but even then they stated it might not be possible to do it.

1) Copy the media database to a file using nsrmmdbasm on your old server, for example:
/usr/lib/nsr/nsrmmdbasm -s /nsr/mm/mmvolume6 > savemdb
2) FTP the media database from your old server to your new server (make sure you are performing a binary transfer).
3) Restore the media database to your new NetWorker server:
"nsrmmdbasm -r -2 < savemdb"
NOTE: the "-2" flag is undocumented and relates to the version of the media database.
This flag is appropriate for NW 6.0 through at least NW 7.0 media databases (and I would thus assume to 7.2.x but possibly not 7.3).
You should then be able to rebuild the indexes using nsrck -L6.
