Moving licenses from one server to another

We had 7 of our servers in one of our sites backing up to the backup library\server in that site. We then decided to move these servers to another site, so want to back these servers up to the library\server at this site.

However this new site only has 3 licenses left, how do I move one of my "Networker Client Connections/5" from the previous backup server to the server I now want these to backup to?

Thanks

You need to engage your license support and do hos transfer for that license. I believe recently you can do that on your own using Powerlink too.

Email licensing@emc.com.

Provide them with information of your current license setup and explain what you want to do. You will need to privide them the hostid of both servers.

I'd suggest going through EMC Licensing and have them sort it out for you - the new licensing system appears to be designed to confuse as much as possible. Also in going to the new system some licenses seem to have became corrupt so you will waste a lot of time with Powerlink if your licences are affected.
